Kama Sutra, Mod Version - and a pleasant red wine

You might well be wondering just what went on during this holiday - or what we were drinking ? But have no fear these were only pictures we discovered on our travels. The young lad posing for the art of seduction would not have gotten very far with those passion killers, however provided the bathroom was not too hot the red wine would have been fine and not wasted., perhaps an option for next months wine tasting.

Nude models - perhaps.

Girls were a bit excited when they spotted this naked man posing on the beach - maybe they thought it was me for a moment !!! untill they relised that the hat was too small !! Ha Ha

Stewart Brewing (Edinburgh) - 6th Birthday bash

Saturday, lovely morning, just like being on holiday again, and found my garden populated by bobbing Meercats - yes Meercats, not the Mercat !!

Had an invite to the 6th Birthday party of Stewart Brewing, Loanhead, Midlothian, run
Steve Stewart, friend of RGB, so later took myself down to brewery where there was good crowd, all enjoying a tasting of his superb beers and a BBQ. Steve's, light beer, "Hollyrood" was voted top beer in the world in a recent competition with five hundred other entries - well done Steve and crew.

Due to the increasing popularity of his beers he is moving to larger premises nearby in order to make sure his thirsty public are kept well supplied.

Good day had by all, and I look forward to the next one.

A long trip home - pleased to be back.

Home at last, and seriously puggled, BUT , as we had done the washing before we left Hawaii no need to worry about that.

Out of interest our time scale was :-
Thu 2nd
0330 rise and shine.
0430 off to airport, where we were early and had to wait for the Ministry of Agriculture people to get their X Ray up and running
0700 flight to San Francisco left on time and arrived at 1230, then the clocks moved forward to 1530, local time. Had time to wait so we headed to the Red Carpet Lounge, bit disappointing compared to some of the other lounges we have used. Nice models in the hallway.
1905 - bit of a carry on to get boarded on London flights, we were slit up, seats changed as the plane had been upgraded and had a new seating arrangement designed to get an extra twenty nine bodies on board.
Bit excitement when we were stopped in the boarding tunnel / ramp by three armed Police officers who checked our ID and asked a few questions about where we had been and were going, etc - caused a stir.
1905 - plane was pushed off on time, but went round the block and back to the ramp again till 2015 - when it left due a problem with luggage on board belonging to passengers who had not boarded.
The cabin crew were the London based team, very nice and helpful, but again we were into the having to pay for everything set up, which I do not like, as I would prefer to pay more for the ticket and get a bit more for our money.
Friday 3rd
0700 which was ten and half hours later, and with eight hours time difference,
1500 local time,
Mad rush as our connecting flight was due out to Edinburgh at 1610, but made it despite it being a long trail round the corridors of T 1 Heathrow, and then
1610 - despite all being ready, more passengers failed to turn up so their cases had to be unloaded and we eventually left the ground at 1700, arriving in Edinburgh at 1800.

A long 24 hours travelling, and overall we have covered just under 20,000miles in the past three weeks.

Now need to get orientated and organised again.

Quantum Leaps - very confusing

We have had our first hop now, Hawaii to Sanfrancisco where the watches were all moved forward three hours, so with four hours to wait we are up in the Lounge, BUT , big dizzy, there is a bar, but money is the name of the day.

Flight was actually not too bad, left on time and arrived early, but the airport is a bit disappointing - very bland and lacking character, apart from the one are where they have soem big model planes hanging from the ceiling.

No free wi fi so again caught out and having to pay for the service.

Managed to Skype the Mercat Bar and had a chat to a tired Aggie, who was just finishing up after a busy shift.

Radio Forth 2 are running a feature on Edinburgh's best pubs so it looks like the Mercat Bar may be in the running again - depending on how the voting goes.

Packing up shortly to head for the the check in to London where the clock will jump forward another eight hours, and our bodies will totally confused - so it looks like the easy answer wil be to work nightshifts!!!

Suitcases packed

All packed up and ready to go, just have a few hours sleep and then it is up and off, with twenty six hours of travelling to look forward to - not.

Town is getting busy with the fans from Californian University who play Honolulu University in the finals of the College football . Lots of them, marching bands, etc, looks like we get out just in time.

Met these young ladies this afternoon with their fancy hair doos, cheery and friendly.

USS Arizona Memorial Pearl Harbour Hawaii

Just a few snaps from this very moving and stark memorial in Pearl Harbour commorating the deaths of so many US servicemen when the Japanese made the surprise attack which lead to the US entering WWII .
