Very sad tonight to see the coffins and procession of the eight young dead servicemen who were returned from Afghanistan via RAF Lynham through Wooten Bassett in England. Lots of debate as to whether it is worth it - however, from reports coming back from overseas the people of Afghanistan already have a much better life under the coalition than the remorseless Taliban.
Just how it impacts on our own lives we really do not comprehend, but should the Taliban and these terrorist groups ever think they have the upper hand we will most certainly know what it is all about and there is nothing more certain than the fact that we will suffer from increased terrorist attacks.
We have one days lapse in Northern Ireland and see what happens - just think what a handful of dedicated fanatics can do.
Bit on the ITV news tonight about Chinook helicopters sitting in hangers for the past fifteeen years due to the software for computers not being available!!! Did the idiots who are in charge of this lose their jobs for total incompetence - most likely not.
