Back to the greens again

Headed for Penicuik Bowling Club this evening for the first of the weekly "Walkinshaw", only seventeen turned up but with rather dark skies and it being cold a good excuse to stay at home, plus the fact that Rangers were playing their second last match of the league for this season winning at the moment). My team manged to win, despite my best efforts, but I was beginning to feel the strain by the time we finished.

Heading South once again on Wednesday, long haul, via Glasgow, Risley, Wetherby, back to Glasgow and then home - going to be a long day, hopefully not to hot or wet.

One of my missing letters turned up this morning, but it was not the first one posted so that looks like it has gone to the great letterbox in the sky !!

Big battle of wits taking place here between Mrs B. and our feathered friends, she is happy when the finches and tits are feeding in the garden but gets annoyed when the big fat pigeons arrive to steal the fat balls - two were fighting over one ball and got big shock when it hit the deck with a big bang - so far the birds are winning.

We were down at the Dolphin Inn today where a few folks arrived for lunch, I even had my Best Man (Grahame) and his friend in, - and also another former colleague from my days in Dalkeith, well retired and now another gentleman golfer. Weather was warm enough to get some gardening done between showers so the place is beginning to look a lot tidier and more presentable. Go Jo's mother and Grandmother have volunteered to do the flower beds and already have the hanging baskets bedding in.
