So much for taking hot flushes, Scotland did the business,

Thank goodness, it turned out to be a good game after all. Well done lads, and as for me, I even watched the England  Ireland game, and today,  Edinburgh beat the Scarlett's in a tight match at a sunlit Murrayfield , what a lovely afternoon.   I had computer on for rugby, tv for Man U game and now even watching Man City and Liverpool.   Now considering all those folks spectating there, I still had to listen to some disgusting foul language from the twenty two players and handful of followers over in the park opposit the house - used to be (conduct likely to provoke a breath of the peace) when I wanted to shut someone up cursing in the street,

Which brings to mind the fact that our wonderful Scottish government, part of the nanny state, are going to introduce new legislation to make it an offence to park on a pavement - digging into the past, there was the "Roads and Bridges Scotland Act" which we used to use against lorry drivers, etc for parking on pavements and damaging slabs and verges.

Big item about the Amanda Duffy murder case , with Francis Auld being released after a not proven verdict.  I wonder how he would have done had he not had the legendary Donald Finlay defending him,  I wonder how many of mr Finlay's clients would have been found guilty if he had been on the prosecution bench instead of the defence, but there is more money to be made from getting criminals off.

I see that Fiona McBride, the forensic expert involved in the Shirley McKie case has gone to the Supreme Court to try and clear her name and get reinstated.  Shirley McKies fingerprint was found at the scene of a crime and she denied ever being there.  hEr father, a senior police officer at the time lead the charge to get her off the hook, and as usual, the defence kept bringing in expert witnesses until two stated that the fingerprint in dispute was not hers, American style professional witnesses.
In this instance I hope our law lords look at the evidence and believe Ms Mcbride.  There were all sorts of stories circulating way back during the original investigation, so time the truth came out.

Guess what,  Cheryl has a new toy boy,  who cares, hope she did not have a beneficial pro nuptial agreement with her recently divorced French husband..

Finally, I actually managed a very , very short walk in the fresh air and sunshine, going to need my walking poles for support.

Eighty minutes to see how the Scots can do against Italy, so far a

Rather dismal record, needs lots of fingers crossed.
Change of TV routine today, being the weekend , have already taken very much to the Supervet programme , talk about unconditional ove, and that is the animals - these vets are brilliant, and boss man Noel, is something totally different. What a fascinating programme, brilliant to see this guys brilliance, and iniative, as he uses his imagination to adapt and modify repairs for these animals.

Looking at the case down south where the Asian run gang ran riot for years controlling drugs, prostitution, etc. Given massive sentences. Now we hear that Theresa May is proposing to rob them of their dual nationality passports and have them sent home after sentences expire. If memory does not fail me we already have several cases where British courts have been overruled by the EU Court of Human Rights !!!   Perhaps another reason why we want to get out of that group of controlling fruit cakes.
Try and conversion for Scotland 11th minute, taking hot flushes already.
Watched the song for Europe selection last night and actually agreed with the public choice for once, now need to see how they manage on the big night.

Second try for Scotland!! 14 - 3 so far.

Kai Monk, Lindsey and Jack over in Edinburgh at the moment, as I cannot make it to meet him, he is coming to see me, cheers. Looking forward to that .

Music awards a big let down, afteR all the hype

here I am wanting entertained and listened to all the advertising about last nights award ceremony in the O,2  so took to bed, nice and comfy, what a let down.   It was so disappointing to see the so called stars being caught out trying to perform live at the show,  Ant and DEC, No idea what they were playing at, nowhere near their own standards, Cold Play, Beiber, most of the main guests were a disaster.star of the show was certainly Adele who proved how much better she was than anyone else, and Annie Lenox gave a superb tribute to the late David Bowie .  Next time I will be back at the great British bake off .
Now reading a thriller by Terry Hayes, I AM PILGRIM,  which everyone is raving about,, at 892 pages it will take several hours !!! To get through it, but with this enforced regime of R&R that should not be a problem.
Brilliant seeing the iconic Flying Scotsman train back on the tracks again heading for its new base in York, but even better to know that it will regularly be out touring the UK.
My friend David Black popped in today for a blether, a d as they say how time flies when you are enjoying yourself, what a great afternoon.

Although I missed it the wine dinner at the grill last Saturday was a great success, and there are already plans for a follow up event later in the year.

Missing out on my Masonic meetings, however, hopefully my brothers and companions will appreciate my circumstances.

Tender is my bottie, well, appropriate after all this time either Lying down or sitting.

Certainly will not be a rush of volunteers to apply creams and lotions.😂.
So, nothing new to report apart from more pains having tried to spend more time on my feet yesterday than was sensible.

Beginning to catch up with news, and apart from the daily spouting over the EU, I have been looking at the plight of Aberdeen and the oil industry .  Big change from when Alex salmond was spouting forth about how well off Scotland would be with all this oil revenue!!  I used to do work up there and it was not the first time that I had to sleep in the car as hotels were charging silly money for rooms, now, you can get a room and breakfast cheaper in a hotel than using the student accommodation around the city.  Sort of looking at the bigger picture around the world,  no matter how gloomy things appear you can bet your bottom dollar that someone, somewhere is making a hell of a lot of money from others misery.
There is a top ten table of best known trade names, Rolex, etc, and I see that Lego has made it to number four,  must be all the advertising after they repaired the Forth Road Bridge.

Missed my Sunday lunch on ward 105, however

Made up for it by having a nice bowl of home made soup back at home.  Yes, discharged today and now home tod recover, might take a while, but I am sure the steed of steel will be raring to go, when I am fit.
Certainly have nothing but praise of the staff in the hospital, all of them, nothing was too much trouble, thanks.

Still on D B B compliments of the NHS, th

so much for thinking I was over the worst last Saturday, wee bit of a change of circumstances which has meant that I remained a guest here for longer than expected.
Good news though that all being well I will be heading home on Sunday to continue my recovery.i
Once again I cannot fault the treatment received, having had CT scans, Angiograms, x Ray's, and ultrasound tests.
Obviously not much happening that I can report on, but my Kindle has been worth its weight in gold, lots of reading done between naps, and with ear plugs in the radio has helped drown out some of the noise from my fellow sufferers.

Must have been me causing the ripples in the Black Holes

Sometime during the past two weeks whilst wandering through space in a drugs induced trance , which, thank goodness is now hopefully in the past. certainly been a major nightmare on this occasion, so far thirteen days here in hospital and not an easy ride by any means.
The initial surgery appears to have been a success, however, it is all the side effects which have caused grief,  not amusing, a lot of sleepless days and up till yesterday a severe lack of food - anyway, through the worst now, just need to get walking, breathing, and sort out the cardio problems which are interfering with the recovery.

So, after five days in high dependency, and the remainder under a slightly lesser degree of supervision, I cannot fault the quality of care what's over. Just amazing what is being done for me. My turn now, lots of hard work needed to get me back to my former self, time, patience etc.
