Madera Valley Inn, Leigh our barmaid and thoughts.

Tonight we are in the Madera Valley Inn, Monteray, after a nine hour session in the bus, long day but what a transformation from the open desert near Vegas to the relatively lush and majestically fertile valley near Sacremento which is the fruit basket of the USA. Grapes, corn, cotton, apples peaches, tomatoes and garlic - not by the acre, but by the thousand acre.

Made it to the hotel for the Happy Hour, where our lovely barmaid Leigh looked after us - cheery young lady who was running an excellent bar with a super gantry.

Good night had by all and a bit more bonding taking place- been hard on the bus wit so many folks and not being able to move about.

Tomorrow, out into the mountains again, and with storms forecast.
