The Trials and Tribulations of Travel

Had been a long day so far, bit of a drag, up early and tidied up and as RGB had the cases away we got the bus into town. Had a wander, I went to see the lovely Alli for a haircut before heading into the Mercat for lunch. Great excitement as last nights awards were front page news with a lovely photo of RGB , Sir Chris , Go, Ali, JP and friends. It was also nice to see Steve Stewart at Stewart Brewing, Loanhead, winning an International award by beating 500 competitors with his Hollyrood beer which has been named the worlds best blonde/ golden pale ale. Fantastic for a small brewery and such a nice bloke, a pal of RGB.

Made it to the airport a bit early and were not allowed to check in our cases so we had to go sit and have a coffee till the domestic gate opened - bit of a dizzy as we had our Priority passes for the lounge - never mind eventually made it. BUT I have to say that the changes here are amazing, what a beautiful little airport.

One consolation was that when we did get rid of the cases they were going direct onto our next flight in the morning so we do not have to worry about taking them out to Egham tonight and then trailing them back in the morning, which will be an early rise followed by an "awfy long day"
