The little pony mascot was retiring after the performances, twenty six year old so off to pastures green for a well earned rest.
When we left the tattoo the royal Mile was unbelievable, just totally awash with folks, thousands heading out and thousands queueing to get in for the final performance - the High Street shops and bars, etc must have made a fortune during the festival, unlike the West End, Haymarket and York Place which has been decimated by the tram works - it will be interesting to hear from the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce how many businesses have folded due to the tram works.Bit of walk, lovely evening to get the bus home, a very long day and really ready for bed.
