Must say that today has been quite exhausting, trying to keep up with all this Olympic Activity going on - Michael Jamieson from Glasgow, had his race beamed live at Celtic Park as he won his Silver medal ; Gemma Gibbons, another handbag wielding young lady who battered her way to win a silver at judo - remarkable.
Young man with a shotgun, Peter Wilson, certainly a dead eye dick, picked up his Gold by keeping cool and calm; and our canoeists who came from nowhere to get both gold and silver in the double kayaks slalom - very exciting, and of course all the excitement of the day in the Velodrome - ladies team disqualified after winning their heat, then the Chinese girls who thought they had won gold only to be disqualified for the same thing Rebecca Pendalton was obviously gutted, just have get on her bike again - but Sir Chris Hoy, cool, calm and supreme - showed the world just how to win gold and break records with his brilliant young colleagues. Thought that The Princess Royal might have smiled a bit more than her Ma - but she did have a wee blether to Sir Chris.
Ladies Hockey team once again came out on top, our coxless four got a silver; I am not sure how the BBC will manage to get them all in the studio , but certainly plenty to talk about.
In the medal tables Michael Phelps has written himself into the record books, no denying that, and obviously Sir Chris Hoy now tops the GB tables.
