The tax man takes the money, no matter what

So when the Sheriff's officers arrive at a small business looking for money for the tax man, just think of how much money Google have made and how much tax they have avoided paying. the bigger you are, the greedier you are, the more brazen you are, the more likely you are to get away with it. In the meantime the small business gets thumped and goes down the tubes with the he associated stress to family and friends. So that is yet another of my friends in the crap.

Have been watching the antiques road tour on the TV at tea time, where two so-called experts try and buy antiques at bargain prices and then sell them at an auction with the week endings profit going to a charity. What strikes me is , a) the stupid prices that some antique dealers charge their clients - obviously some silly folk out there , and b) the bargains which can be had at an auction room, especially if you know where to go.

Kind of wet wet once again, roads awash and more flooding in the Scottish Borders, add that to the strong winds , perfect excuse to bring out the buckets and pails again.
