Castlelaw Fort, a bit different
Probably not quite what my friends from the USA expected, but we ended up at Castlelaw Fort, just on the south shoulder of the Pentland Hills and only half a mile off the A702 - something different to see from the run of the mill tourist spots. This Fort is one of four on the shoulder of the hill, but is the best preserved and easiest to access. It is also close to the Army small arms training range and overlooks Glencorse Reservoir which hides the submerged St Mary's Chapel
