Catch up notes.

Just wondering what else happened,  suppose it was sad to see my car head off to the great scrapyard in the sky,  not likely to pass another MOT without major expenditure, so had to bite the bullet  - sad day when the tyres, battery and fuel in tank are worth more that the car !!  Just have to wait and see what happens next, but in the meantime I have the wee smart cars to choose from.

Tuesday past attended at RA 500 for the annual visit by Provincial Grand Chapter,  good attendance, and we had visitors from Perth and Pitlochry,   great night with a sterling performance by Sparky Mark and the office bearers with a candidate.

Managed to get the steed of steel up and running, gave it a wee breath of fresh air,  but need to see if I am fit enough to take it back on the road again,    and being badgered by the IPA vice Chairman, Tom McInally (who has ridden round the world on his BMW raising funds for charity) to join the proposed new bike section - bit of cogitation to take place.

Plain to see that the bowling season is underway,  we had hail stones, thunder and lightening - perfect start to the season.

Heard from the globetrotting Johnston's of Chopham, just back from their trip to the Land of Oz, had a ball but pleased to be back and recovering slowly from the trip,  nice to know they are back in one piece.

Major tragedies on our roads during the past 24 hrs,  coach and lorry crash on the M62 with one dead,  and last night a fatal at Wadingburn , by Lasswade,  thoughts go to the relatives of the victims
