Looks like Summer (what summer) is past and the winter now approaches, 4.30 a.m. and it is still dark outside as I get set for a run to Risley this morning.
Life seems to be getting more lively at The Merfcat Bar, busy again yesterday as the run of busy days continues. If this is the way the trend should have been it is frightening to think how much business was lost during the tramworks operations and how much might be lost again once they start / IF they start again. The Council and tram folks all say that life will be "rosy" once the job is completed, but you never ever recoup your losses, ask the firemen who went on strike for a pig pay rise many years ago , never recovered.
Anyway - no time for early morning gossip - must head off to meet the "white van men" and see just how busy the M74 and M6 get today.
