Rod Stewart - showman extraordinaire (Photos)

The week is disappearing fast and I have not been keeping abreast with all the goings on. BUT on Monday Mrs B and Irish Christine met for a quick bite at The Mercat Bar at lunchtime, then onto the train through to Glasgow - a wander trough the shops, and dinner at D'Arcys in the Prince's Square.
They eventually headed off to the Rod Stewart Concert which was in the Scottish Exhibition Centre, super crowd, all looking forward to a night with our Local Legend, who at 65 years of age is absolutely fantastic. Give him credit he did say that he could no longer reach the high notes, but who cares. He is the perfect showman , supported by an exception backing group, and soon had all the audience eating out the palm of his hand. During the course of the concert, which lasted for two hours he did a very nice tribute to his father and also gave a mention to his young son whose drawing has been printed onto T shirts which are being sold for a charity.
Brilliant show, excellent evening out.
