Chilean wine tasting and the effects

What an afternoon , suspension collapsed on the car, so I need a new front spring on the BMW ASAP , but that will be sorted over the weekend.

Bumpy bus into town and a wander along to Haymarket where many of the "tasters" were already in place.

Initially a rather subdued session with about 40 present, started and as the evening of white, rose and red Chilean wines , along with some wonderful tapas progressed, the noise got louder, decorum diminished and a good night was had by all.
I was with Dan the Man , Katriona; and friends ( obviously wanted by the Police as they did not want to be photographed). We had a marvellous night reminiscing about our days in Eskhill, Peniuik, some 34 years ago - too many tales to add tonight, but Danny does go on a bit , even managed to do a bit of "grassing" about me. Friend Ann revealed that her father had been a member of the Rifle Lodge so she is now going to hand in a couple of aprons to them.

The team from Saxxio Systems did us proud - all good and loud, enjoyed the night and managed to hit the photo frame, Steve, Blondie, Jen , now all converts to the blog.

Wines of the month chosen were White - Chilcas Estate Organic Sauvignon Blanc - 2008 ; Rose - Ovveje Negra Syra/Cabernet Sauvignon Rose; and Red ; Punto Nino Maipo Valley Camenere 2007 .
Next big night is a full dinner night on Saturday 25th April, theme of Call my Bluff being restricted to about thirty folks - should be first class.
