Rememberance Day 11.11. 11.

This was a day of Remembrance to those who have died in the various conflicts since WW1.
I happened to be in Princes Street Gardens this afternoon and took these pics of the Remembrance Garden beside the Scott Monument not realising that there had been a service there this morning until I saw it on the TV news tonight.

This was very respectful and a total contrast to the highly disrespectful banner demonstration by the so called "Green Brigade" at Celtic Football Club's Parkhead at the weekend. A disgrace and as usual a minority to blame - obviously very similar to the Demonstration yesterday in London by the students which started off peacefully and then was allegedly hijacked by the anarchists who caused mayhem. So far thirty one have been arrested and hopefully charged with vandalism, breach of the peace, etc, and for those who flung fire extinguishers and objects from the room the charges should be attempted murder or serious assault. Our authorities need to take strong action otherwise this will be start of similar demonstrations around the country for a variety of excuses - next being the cuts in welfare benefits - strikes me as being unfair that some of these lazy sods can simply refuse to look for or accept work and then sit in the house with their fags, dope and Buckfast, compliments of the working millions.
