Well, what can I say - just trying to get over a big hangover after last night.
We were all dressed up in kilts, etc at 3.30 p.m. picked up and driven to the Lodge, where we had to wit till 6.45 before we went in, the Installation took till 9 p.m. during which we three from Midlothian all took part with the Supreme officers.
Atendance was quite poor, although there were senior officers there who had travelled for 12 hours by train to get there.
Meal was different!! started with a plate of nibbles, nuts, crisps and bombay mix, then airline type dishes, in foil, but it was tasty, and washed down with whisky, and more whisky, and more
At about 10.45 everyone just upped and left quickly so we got a lift back to the hotel and took beers and real whisky, so at 3.30 a.m. life was "just a bowl of cherries", as Forrest Gump would say.
Have been out this morning for a walk and to take in the local ambience, but you cannot go to far for fear of falling into holes in the road and pavements, etc,
Now off, the being colected at 6 p.m for another meeting and drinks tonight, which hopefully will not be too late as we leave Sunday lunchtime -
