Mother's Day in the land of Oz

A little fact that I learned today following a call from the lovely Upside Down Lady and her equally upside down mate, Caitlin and Robbie - was that Sunday is Mother's day in Oz. Bit of a panic here just in case RGB had forgotten to get Mrs. B a card !!

BUT from Caitlin and Robbo I learned that all is well, all are well, and it will be a year since they moved into their new home along with their menagerie.
ALSO - Hannah Keates is now the venerable age of 30 years - happy birthday.
Lovely to hear from them who were with Rob's mum Rose and others, partying I believe.

Not sure what is happening to Sir Christopher, Tam, Miss Talk a lot, Kathryn and co as I have heard that some of the Spanish airports are closed due to the volcanic dust cloud which has drifted that far south.

Last weekend of the football league, big disappointment for several teams who have been relegated and breaths of relief for a few others. Amazing the amount of debt there is in Scottish football, local Hearts are now £30 + million in debt to the Russian Mr Romanov.

Reasonable morning in The Mercat bar, and then a wee trip to Bookers, before heading home. Missed the R A bowling at Dalkeith, so hopefully the Companions of 500 managed to put together a winning team to take the trophy back from Esk 42 !!

Penicuik Park was busy with the annual 10k race taking place, good turnout as usual, and I need to praise the fun runners who struggle round, along with their band of supporters who are left sitting in the field waiting on them getting back.
Mrs B. out in the town so I am getting a little peace to make headway with some outstanding work and get organised for my trip to Manchester tomorrow. I just hope the planes are flying , had a look at the train prices and today a 2nd class ticket is costing £81 whereas if I had booked on Wednesday i could have had the same ticket for £41 , BUT on the same train a special deal on a 1st class ticket for £21 !!!! Just does not make sense.
