No problem guessing what the weather was like this morning - heard the rain before I saw it, so, head back under the duvet for a bit longer.Visits to the Dentist and Doctor, where I saw the poster about "children learn what they live" which I thought was very good. Home and then off to play bowls with the "old men" - the retired chaps - which is always a laugh and was a bonus as the sun came out for most of the afternoon.
The picture is of the old water well in the High Street, Penicuik,
which was built with funds from Mr Cowan of Valleyfield Mill, aided by the donation of 1p from the Townspeople.

Hi, The PCAA has arranged a childrens writing competition with P4-P6 kids from the primary schools. We're compiling all the entries onto a book, would you mind if I used your old photo of the Cowan Well for the back cover/
