Monday Holiday - for some

Yet another sleepless night , I must have been really bad when I was young !!! - it get beyond a joke at times, especially when I am not one for the afternoon siesta's.
So off again early into the town to open up at 8 a.m. - on the way passing one of my favoutite sets of tramway workmen. the driver of the mini digger had arrived and at 6.55 was sitting in his car
(relevant) - got sorted and opened, but very quiet due to the holiday weekend and the rain - damp and cold.
So from time to time I was at the door and - just happened to note that our workman in the mini digger - DID NOT A STROKE till 11.45 when he was joined by others. We have World Banks going bust, credit crunches, folks losing money left right and centre and these lazy sods are coining it in off the astronomical charges being laid on the ratepayers, etc for this tram project - at the rate these boys are going , their sons and daughters will be old enough to get jobs with them on the project.
The so called Leith regeneration programme has now been put on hold, house prices are tumbling and land prices are crashing - we are now seeing the results of plain , unadulterated greed.

So my friend Lawrence appeared for his usual tipple, he was saying that there were a team of nurses going around the City , measuring up folks and giving some opinions as to how obese they were - one suggestion is that they start at the Royal Infirmary, where many of the staff already fall into certain categories of obesity.

Still no call back from Rob and Caitlin , but at least we know they are fit, well and working, which is more than can be said for poor Edwardo, who whilst hillwalking somewhere up north fell and broke his ribs. He then had to walk some distance to where he had left his bicycle and then cycle to the nearest town for assistance. He denies that he was playing with a big girl !! His tr5ack record inthe hills is not too clever, having previously managed to get lost for several hours on another trip.

Todays rampage will be about the latest plans to introduce even more speed cameras - front page of the Daily Express - I think that P.M. Gordon Brown , his poncy friend Alistair Darling and the government in general , make Dick Turpin, and Ali Baba look like wee angels. It is bad enough that the so called local "Safety Initiatives" are supporting plain, blatant entrapment on roads around the City and down into the Borders. I have no problem with average speed cameras on busy sections of roadworks - but on open roads !!!.

We had some Irish lads in for breakfast before they headed home - and I thought that I would never meet anyone like COD again ( COD being my worst nightmare come true at the Sportsman's) - one lad was so like him, good humoured but erratic , so when he left he asked if I had any words of wisdom for him - yes " remember , "there is no outside toilet on this flight".
We are now recruiting for new staff at the Bar as several have left to head home, start travelling again , etc. and also having the lovely Agneska away on holiday to see her folks in Crackow does not help. BUT - in response to an advert Graham has so far received 85 enquiries.
Sparky Mark has arrived, no sore feet, enjoyed his hike in the Highlands, saw plenty trees, mostly green , and is looking forward to his next adventure.

Had a wierd E mail allegedly from AOL which contravened every bit of security advice going - they wanted, names, dates of birth , credit card numbers, passwords, Nat In numbers, PIN numbers, totally unbelievable, and with no means of contacting them.
So I have contacted WEBUSER Magazine which I get every two weeks for them to have a look at it.
