Sunday , and guess what?

Well - how do I say this , BUT , - there we were back at work, nice sunny Sunday morning when my favourite digger driver arrived at 7.50 a.m. to once again sit in his motor, read papers, etc , and do sweet F.A. till he disappeared at 11.45 a.m. - and on double time no doubt.

Not that I was annoyed, far be it for me to complain about lazy buggers screwing the system!!!! Just why do we pay taxes and try to earn an honest living ?

So - Sunday morning , steady stream of customers but not manic - couple stopped to say that they had enjoyed their steaks last night, and some very cheery folks in from Durham and Newcastle - several just a bit annoyed that their train journey had been delayed by rail works and they had been put on transfer buses by First Rail.

Come lunch time we had Alex (our young Greek Peter Andre look alike); Kate ( whose Dad is involved in the organisation of the London Olympics) ; and Lee ( our latest recruit to the management team).

Home (via the local skip yard) and with the sun still shining out into the garden to carry on with tidying up and also to listen to the BBC radio commentary of Rangers FC beating Hibs - 3 -1, a game which initially could have gone Hibs way.

Penicuik park was absolutely chock a block - a big mini rugby tournament , run by Penicuik Rugby Club.

Wee call late in the afternoon from Princess Kerrin - still busy at the Sportsman's but she has been accepted for a new job next year as a beautician on a cruise ship - well done young lady.

My friend John Ackroyd called from London where he has a senior post in IT with the BBC, at least we know he is still in one piece, doing OK, despite the fact that one of his dogs ( babies) has died. We have not heard from him in ages and were getting a bit concerned, last time he was en route to Katmundo, had a flight round Mt. Everest, etc., so we are guaranteed that folks over there will always have a good BBC reception.

Jo Jo popped in to see us, and poor soul was landed with helping me sort out this computer for an hour or so, till Mrs. B. laid down her foot and stopped me.

Skipped through a few CD's, so Robbie / Caitlin ; Maureen / Craig had a viewing , along with Archie / Tracy and the babies lots of good photos and even more memories.

Now time to rest - long week ahead, working Monday a.m. early again - visit to see my Doctor ; OSM on Tue Plus Graham arrives home; Dentist and Preston Tower RA on Wed ; Glasgow and Runcorn on Thursday for another long day: pack cases and charity Dance at Edinburgh Masonic Club Friday night before heading off on Saturday morning.
