Rushed off my feet

Sunday a.m. up and off early, there was a magnificent sunrise at 6.50 a.m., sky was brilliant as the sun came up over the horizon as I headed towards Hillend. Made it into the pub where Jeff the cleaner was saying he had not really enjoyed his trip to Leuchars Air base for the air show on Saturday, the cloud was too low so the flights were restricted, however the trains were running on time which was unusual.
The morning rush did not start till 10 a.m. so Jamie and Claire managed to get loads of prep done for lunch and when it did it was hectic , first 19 young ladies from Burnley on a hen weekend appeared followed hot on their heels by another ten or so, and this was the way it was till 2 p.m. when I managed to make good my escape.

Sparky Mark now back from his weeks sojourn in the hills, with his two sore feet and raring to go, he was saying that the visit to Glenfiddich Distillery was first class.

William and Sandra made it home safe and sound from Spain , where the sun had been shining, but they had missed our company.

I see we had visitors from Liberec on site during the week, no doubt our very good friends from the Hotel Babylon, who are also tied in to the Hotel de Paris , Prague. It is good to know that they are well.

We recently had word from The Eden Hotel and Spa , in Sri Lanka, where we were four yearsw ago for a wedding - marvellous spa, all are well and the place has fully recovered from the tsunami.

Met a man from through the west , who was saying how miserable the folks from Paisley were, seems that his grandad was knocked down on a pedestrian crossing when he stopped to pick up a penny, sadly he died, and on his death certificate it said " natural causes" !!! -
Question - how do you make a Paisley omelette ? First you borrow three eggs !!!!

Have spent hours editing the photos from France, Still not finished - but getting there .

Seems that the fuel crises and credit crunch are taking their toll on the the holiday and airline industry, with XL during the week, KS Holidays today and Alitalia, the Italian state airline.

I see Cliff Richard has made history with a No 3 in the charts, so that 50 years he has managed to make it top the top - not that I can recollect having heard it yet.

Up and off early again - what's new!!!!!
