Not a good job , a bloody Marvellous one

Back to Saturday a.m. and into town once again - and as I headed into the pub at 7.15 a.m. I saw my favourite digger driver sitting in his van beside the tramworks at Palmerston Place. He sat in that van reading his paper, and was still there at 12.30 p.m. when I left to go home. - in that time he had done no work at all as there were no other workmen on site - so I have no idea how much longer he sat there but that was certainly a profitable morning if he was on time and a half or double time.

In The Mercat Bar, it was the turn of young David, one of our chef's to have a birthday , so Jamie took great pleasure in presenting him with his cake - complete with candles and a card from the rest of the staff . Dave was quite taken by the event !!!

Home to a bit of gardening as the weather was reasonable and place needed a bit of a tidy up before we get away next weekend. Getting seriously annoyed with these boy racers and their cars fitted with megaphone exhausts - there is no need for them, just a bloody nuisance.
Then it was off to see Edwardo who had invited us in to his flat for a bite of dinner, it was lovely, a freshly made paella with a little red wine - a very pleasant evening catching up with his news before he heads off to see his parents in Spain. Never the less , he has a few odd jobs for me and Sparky to do for him when we get the chance.
Watching the final bit of Lord of the Rings, a marvellous story and movie.
Early start again, no rest for the wicked.
