J D Wetherspoon - Standing Order - Edinburgh

Normally I only refer in the passing to my visits to see Archie @ the pole dancer at the Standing order, so today I broke with tradition and here are my memories. Impressive front door, nice big well decorated bar

and the mannequin stands bold and brave above the bar - over the years he has had many different guises. Nearly broke the camera when I spotted Mr Hamilton @ Bert ( known to strike fear in the faint hearted) who is in with the fixtures and fittings, even gets taken on holiday with the "family.

Fortunately, there was a lovely young lady at the bar talking to one of the Managers ( certainly not grumpy like Bert). Then of course, the Standing Order is a stopping off place for many stag and hen groups, today being no different as Fay's Hen Party arrived - all the way from Leicester for the weekend. Not sure which one was wearing the fancy hat, but there was Fay; Karen; Luisa: Spencer; Karren; Laura; Pichard: Teresa; Loz; Sharon and Louise. Fay is getting married on 3rd June in Cyprus to "Peggy" !!!!

So, despite all the fun and games going on I then had to scoot off to the Edinburgh Masonic Club, for the final meeting of the Corporation of Squaremen for this part of the season
