Sun shine in Edinburgh - Athens of the North

So the sun was shining in the city which was obviously causing problems for the polar bears in St Andrew's Square Gardens, not left behind after last weeks snows, but part of an excellent wildlife exhibition.

There is now stark example of merging the old and new with the new cafe in the gardens set against the backdrop of the old city.
With the sun shining the gardens were packed with locals, visitors, etc all reaping the benefit of the sunshine.

In George Street the Dome Bar is another remarkable example of a transition from a bank to a public house, and from there to Queen's Street for the fine frontage of the Royal College of Physicians.

Finally, I thought that Dr Who had dropped in for a visit as the Tardis was parked up in Leith Walk, or is it just an obsolete Edinburgh City Police box ?
