The flying dustcart

Up with the larks this morning to go to the airport for 6.15 a.m. but on the way home followed a dustcart / bucket motor which was being driven by a budding Lewis Hamilton, total disregard for the speed limits, etc, all that was missing was the rubbish falling off the back.

Home and, knowing I have a long day tomorrow, back to bed for a couple of hours then up and at em as they say. Ann was feeling a lot brighter so we headed to Livingston for breakfast, which Wetherspoons managed to get right at the second attempt. Did a bit shopping then went off to the new B & Q at Hermiston Gait, where I now have to take my driving license or passport to prove my age before I can get their Diamond card. Seems that my bus pass is not good enough. A certain person is muttering about decorating, etc, which makes me not too happy.

Getting paranoid about speed cameras, saw a van in a lay by this morning, but it turned out to be an ambulance - just seems that at every turn the motorist is getting thumped. This new part of the car tax thing now where you have to fill in a SORN form if the car is off the road and not taxed, if not that's another £80.

Had a go at this telephone banking today, it used to be simple and straight forward, but gets worse so it might be just as easy to keep the pennies buried in a tin in the garden (like Chick - because all his coins seem to be green and mouldy and they are not Roman or Anglo Saxon)

Grant of Photogenix fame misssed out on last nights trip to 720, but was not well again, so lets hope he improves also.

Graham must now be in the USA , hopefully behaving, but we will have to wait and see !!

Spoke to Robbie and he says big Karen is in hospital, so I will now have to find out more. Which I have just done - that was quick, have spoken to Karen who took ill on Monday night with a suspected blood clot on the lung, linked to a chest complaint - she was kept in for 24 hours, had a numer of jags, blood tests and a CT scan before being sent home - she will live to fight another day.

Mr Karabin has amazed me by reading yeterdys blog and actually responding to it - good one Greg.
