Its been a long day

4.a.m. up for a cuppa, and then out the door at 5 a.m. to Glasgow where Mr Dunk filled my head with nonsense and the car with jobs for Runcorn.

Headed south, and I just could not get over the numbers of heavy goods vehicles heading north into Glasgow around 6.30 a.m.
On the motorway, three young women all belted past me (over 85 mph) only to literally slam on the anchors and cut back into the inside lane to get to their exit - just bad driving, and all in smaller cars. Anothert two . later in the day, fags in the mouth - car full of smoke - disgusting.

At Runcorn, Jill has a lovely new posh Reception area, complete with flat screen TV , but no big comfy chairs for the visitors, she was up to date with the blog and concerned about Ann and some of our antics.

Droppedd off what I had and uplifted, as promised one massive big suitcase which was filling up the drugs dept cupboard.

To the canteen, in high spirits where I was winding up Christine (of the new specs), giving her a hard time, so it was appropriate that the training course in session was how to deal with dfifficult customers. Still did not stop[ her murdering yet another bacon roill, and to add insult to injury the prices have been put up - so next time she will be given a Dick Turpin mask.

On the road up, Police were out in force, a very slick operation between J.s 22 /24 North, where they were monitoring the traffic with the vehicle recognition cameras and then swooping down and picking off individuals. It was really well done and for once I was impressed.
Further north, passed the big camper van towing the proverbial second car behind it - its just a bit pretentious - I think.

Anyway, good round trip of 568 miles so I needed a power nap when I got home before I went out again to the RA at Gorebridge at 6.20 p.m. However it was a bit too much so I had too leave early and head home for a rest.

Mrs. B had been working in the house cleaning out bedrooms, again doing too much and once again looking like death warmed up , needing a good rest - BUT she had made lovely stew for dinner.

Tomorrow, first the funeral of Mary Dyer and then down to work at The Sportsmans.
