Still have computer problems.

One of the servers in the hotel is out of action , so i am using a lap top owned by one of the managers, and obviously on the second server. This will curtail my writing till Monday which is not very clever as I do not think I will be able to add photos - just have to wait and see.

Yesterday was blistering hot all day so we had to hide under shades on the beach and drink plenty water, beer , etc.

There were more in the hotel last night as it was a BBQ type buffet and the choice of food was great, I even managed to get the chef to cut me a couple of steaks and sear them off for me.

We then took a taxi along the coast to a massive shopping centre - it was brilliant , really puts some of our so called centres to shame, massive, bright , airy with tremendous choices - also all sorts of salons packed out SO - having made it back last night and then found iy a bit overcast with rain forecast this morning we headed back along there by taxi. The taxi's seem to be a bit pricy and you need to haggle as the drivers try to chance their mit. The bloke this morning wanted 500 and we knew the going rate was 300 - so we got there for 300 !!!

When we reached the store the heavans opened so were were pleased with our choice of actions.

Wandered about and Sandra did her shopping , THEN we all went for a facial, even had to wait in the queue as all twenty couches were take, by men and women of all ages , both local and visitors - BUT it was well worth the wait, 65 minutes of superb treatment complete with an overall Thai massage for 359 bt ( about seven pounds), compared to 1500 in the hotel which was not as good I hate to say.
Spotted a couple of "lady boys" in our travels, but were also surprised at the number of European men walking about accompanied by young Thai ladies !! - so jamie there is hope for you , cut down on the pints and save up for a trip here.

So , it was back into a taxi and now the sun is shining it is back out for afew rays before tea time.

Pleased to hear from the Sparky peron, well done Mark, you made it to the top of the mountain without any mishaps and no doubt have your certificate for the bedroom wall - brilliant. we look forward to seeing your photos on your blog.

While typing I have been watching Jacques , the duty manager doing a staff biefing in the main reception, all are in uniform and standing, paying attention and taking notes. The staff are very attentive and friendly, so no complaints about that .

So - i will hopefully be able to get back on line later.
