Cocktail parties at the Hilton - Sharm el Sheikh

It was the Manager's cocktail party this evening where we were given the opportunity to meet with senior staff in the hotel and make comments , good and bad as they are continually looking for feedback from guests.
The executive chef had a wee chat and although he could not promise us haggis or Stornoway black pudding we might have baked potatoes for lunch tomorrow !!! However it was interesting to hear that in this Hilton Hotel, the Waterfalls, that the biggest group of guests originate from Russia, then Scandinavia, followed by the British - whereas the other Hilton here, the Hilton Dreams, the predominent
group are the British.

What I find, and it is the same in all hotels where there all inclusive bufets that there seems to be a competition to see who can load the most onto a plate irrespective as to whether they plan to eat it or not, leading to a lot of waste.

Our bar waiters are very good and tonight the youngest was helping at the cocktail party, only 19 years old (looks younger) - the lad on the left makes the most wonderful cocktails.

It was very hot today, about 30 C and tonight with no cloud cover it feels quite chilly!! but tomorrow is another day, and also RGB's umpteenth 21st !!! "the eternal youth). More news to follow.
