Litter louts

Down at Musselburgh waiting for a delivery from Bellhaven Brewery.

On the way here called in to see Grant at Photogenix, Bonnyrigg, and get the photos developed from last week, there are some good ones there.

On the back road from Dalkeith to Whitecraig I was following a small grey car, personalised number plaes J15SHG, and it was like running the gauntlet, empty coke cans were being flung out like hand grenades. To think, that way back in 1987 I introduced "Schoolwatch" the anti vandalism campaign to schools in Mid and East Lothian along with Yvonne Murray. We worked with Keep Britain Tidy people and had some great projects running , but their was not enough support overall to develop it into a national scheme, although having said that there were schools all over the place who picked up on it in some way or another and Alan Blackie, Director of Education, East Lothian, worked with the Police to develop it a bit further in East Lothian after I retired.

With all the publicity about litter and recycling, green policies you would think that some of these "clarty" individuals would think twice.
