R.I.P.

I think, that after a week we have to accept that our dearly departed budgie, Bluey, has now gone to that great aviary in the sky - god rest his little soul.
The possible culprits for this departure are a. one evil looking black cat , or b) a grey squirrell, but I am not sure if squirrells eat budgies !! This one has taken to prowling about on the roof of the conservatory - maybe looking for his next meal.
One of our less feeling friends suggested "buy the cat a treat, get a canary"

On the same sad note, big George (the brickie), told us that his wife's little dog died on Friday. He is really a big sogtie at heart, because despite threatening to throw it in the Esk on several occasions, he is now missing " the patter of little feet" in the morning. And on the same note, and in the same breath, George said that his Granny had died on the same day as the dog, aged 81 years. Our thoughts are with the family.
