Friday night - and still on the go .

Last night was a real shocker - next to no sleep and wide awake by 4 a.m. so I got up about 5 a.m. - had tea, and just listened to the rain battering off the conservatory roof . However knowing we had a busy day here in the pub - I got all kitted out and used the motorbike to get into town by 6 a.m.
Tilers had again worked late but had run out of materials so were due back in. the place was in a bit of a mess - so I made a start , then the cleaners arrived, next Jim Hannah to do the CCTV , then the tilers returned, then the electrician , then the bloke to fit some new system in the kitchen - it was all go with folks falling allover each other and Graham B ; Graham A. and Chris also scurrying about . All this going on while we were busy upstairs.
Claire Allan has just joined me to get some work off the computer, and rather miffed by young Jonathon Boyd who having had a nice haircut is not a happy chicken.

It was just a mad rush as there was a big group booked into the downstairs bar for 4 p.m. - BUT WE DID IT - all the tradesmen except Jim Hannah - had done their thing and left - the staff , Sarah and Agnieszka, all helped wash and lean up the dust - so when our goup arrived the place was all spick and span.,

I headed off from the own in bright sunshine , and at Boghall ran into an absolute downpour, getting slightly wet in the process - so it was then a leisurely wash and tea before heading back out again.

Niamh (Neeve) - which is not the correct spelling , but whose Irish name sounds like that - just popped into the office and had a quick squint at the Blog with me - because I am back in the pub for the evening- while Mrs. B. is out socialising with her friends.

Saturday I intend to have a long lie - ( note that this is my intention) then meet Grant of Photogenix and we are off to a meeting of the Preceptory of St Bernard de Clairveaux at newbattle . I should have been playing bowls but the message I sent saying I would play was not passed on - so it is back to Plan B.
