Bit of a problem at 0530 hrs - silence once more and nothing moving till the snowplough went past. There was no way I could get the car out and the road were terrible - so it was a walk to John Street for the bus - see the photo and eventually into the town. Lots of praise for the Lothian Region bus drivers who do remarkably well in terrible conditions, hampered by motorists who really should just stay at home.
Bar was quiet, due mainly to the weather, however we were invaded by the Hash House Harriers who were out for their New years run, and who will be back soon to make merry on Stewart's of Edinburgh finest real cask ales.
Harriers returned after a good, instructive mystery tour of Edinburgh taking in Greyfriers Bobby; The Heart of Midlothian; St Andrew's Square where at each point heir leader gave them a short history of the aea.
