Getting boring now - this snow.

9 p.m Tuesday and during the past couple of hours we have had 1.5 inches of snow, which has just about brought the traffic to a standstill again.

Having experienced the weather of the past two weeks, listened to the short range forecasts and forecasters who seem unable to predict any further ahead - remember they said we were going to have a super summer - WRONG. It reminds me of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" when the storyline was that we had slipped back into another ice age overnight.

Here we are in the UK with this giant chill, but it is nothing to northern China where we had photos on the news tonight of a train which was stopped by a solid wall of snow and all 1400 passengers needed to be rescued. Central Europe is also freezing hard and the main rivers are icing over.

Back in Scotland there are plans to have the first Bonspiel for years on the lake of Menteith at Aberfoil as it is frozen over, just a case of checking out the ice.

Took myself out for a while today when the traffic had died down and the roads were thawing out - it is totally ridiculous the numbers of drivers who are so lazy that they do not even clear their cars sufficiently to see properly - it should be an offence.

Getting rather annoyed at the antics of some of our immigrant neighbours who are not just content to come and live here but are fleecing the system hand over fist. We have an unemployed Somalian sitting in a six bed roomed house which is costing the taxpayer £2000 a month; a Polish murderer in jail who wants to be transferred back to Poland; Asians who want to march through Wooten Basset as a protest against the war in Afghanistan; and so on it goes, It is time they lived according to the laws of our Country just as we have to when we live in their countries - i.e. recent execution in China. Mr Blair and his cronies who got us signed up for the European Bill of Human Rights certainly did not do us any favours !!!
Time for a Highland Park to settle down.
