Just a bit of history while I remember.
This is the modern version of the "Roman Bridge" now used as a pedestrian crossing on the River Esk.
The original was built by the Romans in AD80 when Musselburgh was a busy Roman settlement. It was eventually rebuilt in 1300 and then this was was built on the same site in 1597 when an additional arch was added.
This photo was taken looking east towards the bridge rather than the normal views which all seem to be from the opposite direction.
