Bitter blow to the boys in blue

No prizes for coming second, just unfortunate it all had to end this way for the Rangers. Worst bit of the game was having to listen to the commentator on STV who was so negative it was unreal, Mrs B. would have cut his tongue out given the chance. Anyway -

Been yet another day of decorating , but the good news is that we are nearly there, another couple of days should see the end of the tunnel apart from the follow up phases !!! Whatevever that means

Should have been at work tonight but ended up as part of a Provincial Deputation to Esk 42 RA Chapter, Dalkeith - where despite the fact the football was on there was still a good turn out.

Unusual and special thing happened on Monday 12th and I ommitted to write about it - in the USA a young soldier Michael Cresenze died during the Vietnam War and was brought home and buried in his home town at Westchester, PA. He was subsequently awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour as he had died whilst attacking three machine gun posts gunning down his platoon.
His family have canvassed for years to have him interred in Arlington Cemetry along with other Medal of Honour holders and eventaully this has happened - his body was exhumed last week and on Monday 12 th he was taken to Washington DC with full escort and reburried with honours in Arlington Cemetry.
His brother Joe, we know from the days when Graham played rugby in the US and when we visited his home he was so proud to let us see Michael's Medal and Citation.

William and Sandra are on holiday in Portugal and are hopefully having good weather - I noted that they had a peek at the blog this morning - I just wish we had been able to get over with them.

Hopefully a better nights sleep tonight and up sharp to do an open in the morning
