Happy New year

Well, it is all over now - so to everyone all the best for 2008.

Our evening / night at the Sportsmans went well, nice wee crowd in, well behaved and in good humour apart from one young lady who fell out with her beau at the end off the evening, but Mummy and aunties were present so it was kept under control.

I do not think it was as busy as in past years, however, everyone present seemed to have a nice night and all left quietly by 2 a.m.

James @ Squirrell was in good fettle and thanked me for his dinner on x-mas day so I just said " write a thank you letter on a a £5 note" so that is just what he did, I think I will frame it.

Graham had the BBQ up and running at the Mercat, doing a roaring trade in sausages and rolls, but the smoke from the BBQ was wafting into an open window in the flats above and kept setting off their smoke alarm, so the occupants came down, joined in the merriment and had a complimentary drink for their troubles.

Ann is still ill, but nurse thinks it is a eally wicked flue virus.

Robbie has appeared with the BBQ so must go meantime.
