the thingsdwe do at home

Had a long day , left at 0800 to go to Musselburgh, took an hour to get there as I was stuck for `15 minutes to travel the last half mile.

Graham, Robbie and myself all on site at 0900, they had a meeting I just got on with it. Long day as it was fairly quiet, but there was always someone in and it was nice to see some new faces who seemed happy with the place. Couple of the boys had good results with the horses, picking up on three favourites p.m.

Got home twenty minutes before Ann's brother Tom and his wife Isobel arrived to see her. Nice to see them but annoyed at their tans as they have just had a nice week in Benidorm where the weather was good.

Tonights heading - we were talking in the pub today about folks who do odd things at home, which got me to thinking back - the guy who built a chopper trike motor bike in his livingroom, another who built a Morris Minor in his upstairs room then had the wall demolished and the car removed by crane; building a house around a caravan and then cutting up the caravan; a boat in the livingroom which they could not get out ; a boy who pitched a tent in the loft and lived there for months; but my true story was going to interview a man in Penicuik. I was at in his kitchen talking to the wife and she said he was in the garden shed, I was looking into the garden but saw no shed. He had built a shed in his bedroom and was living in it !! while she slept in the bed beside it. I once stripped down a motor bike in my mothers kitchen, she was not amused and eventually had it put out inm the bucket - with foresight - it was a "whispering" Velocette, shaft drive and now mega collectable.

Council playing even bigger silly buggers with Ann - so shortly the gloves will need to come off.
