Lost yet another day

Wed now, I think, - just where did Tuesday go ?

Anyway, had to go to the Mercat yesterday morning for soup and haggis balls for the RA last night, en route discovered that the front brakes were binding badly on the Escort - front wheel was cooking.
Got home, via Costco, and then freed of a jammed brake piston, what a difference - so now I know what was causing all the problems. Garage got me a new battery, but it was the wrong model - so once gain last night car just started and no more - but, fingers crossed all will be well.

BMW has an ignition fault which turns out to be a common complaint and easily fixed - BUT WHY, with these cars you do not expect niggly problems.

Received an E mail from my long time friend from the Prince's Trust, Beth, now living in Shiply, Yorkshire. So we had a chat on the phone, the first for about six years, it was lovely to speak to her, get the gossip and news of the family.

Ann made it to the Doctors who thought she was doing well. Came home, made sandwiches for the RA last night, but once again has paid the price by being unwell again this morning.

RA went well last night with Grant of Photogenix becoming our latest member, quite a few missing as there was a special meeting of the KT's at Dunbar to celebrate 100 years of their Preceptory. However, those present had a good time - and were firt up to get a shot for the new Mark Tokens.

Bloody roadworks again - I heard on the radio that the council plans to spend the next eight weeks doing some work on giving buses priority between Straiton and Penicuik and that all the new bus stops will be built opposite keep left islands just to add to the congestion. For me , I am quite happy taking the bus into the City, but for start stop jobs you need the car.

Burns Supper at the Mercat on Friday night coming which should be good - looking forward to it.
