Sunday sunshine

Well - after a shockin, awful, terrible day on Saturday - weather wise, it is nice to see some sunshine this morning . A bit blustery, but not cold, so I was able to get out into the fresh air, tidy the car, sort a cracked bumper on the Ford where some kind person had reversed into it in the car park at Sommerfield's. ( great stuff the old cataloy paste.

Fired up the motorbike, which started first turn even after a month of inactivity in the garage - I will need to get it on the road when I get the chance.

Yet another nice blast from the past, having made contact with a friend, Howard, in London who used to get me work up here on his behalf. His catch phrase so to speak when he phoned looking for me was to say to Ann " Is he in or is he down the Glen". Which, in view of what I was doing at the time was exactly where I was.

Sparky Mark, left at 4 a.m. this morning from Edinburgh, via London to Madrid then on to Cuba to start his cycling adventure. He did not even have bicycle clips!!! but said he would use masking tape instead.

Looks like we are in for some visitors shortly, some of Ann's friends are coming round to cheer her up - so they say.

Moving on in time - two in and out and another two back in, good chat and Sheena and Paul are off on an Ocean Village cruise in a couple of weeks to the Carribean - I did not realise that you cannot get an all inclusive drinks package on that boat.
Paul had used his Sat Nav in the car which took hiom past the out and out into the countryside about a mile from here - then came back and they ended up in my back lane, having passed the front of the house already.

In between we have watched John and Sinead Kerr from Livingston skating in the European Championships. They were good but she had a small tumble which cost them points.

Need to move on and do some work.
