Sort of tired but I made it up for 6 a.m. and headed off to town , not sure if I was to meet plumbers at 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. - anyway , plumber arrived at 7.10 a.m. and worked like a trojan to install two shiny new toilet pans and sisterns in the toilets - what fun, but at least they work better than the ones we had which were installed on the cheap by the last team of cowboys on site.
Todays star was Sheree, who ended up on her own , working flat out as we were fairly busy and I was too dirty to get involved in the front of the pub - she got just a bit confused at times, but was not as bad as her twin sister Dannielle who tried to order up a Suday roast on Saturday !! Good girl. We can now tell them apart as dannielle set fire to her hair at the weekend while leaning over a candle dueing an intense meaningful conversation!!!! (pis**ed) I mean.
We had another couple of Australians in with their daughter for breakfast, Don Learbuch from St John Ambulance Australia, Western Oz. His wife was having a bit of a problem working out what our money was worth!! but I am sure as their holiday progresses they will manage fine. Still no sign yet of Paul Byrne in his leg irons , correction - He did appear on Monday night - drank gallons, had a great time and has now fled the country.;
Tilers arrived to make a satrt on the floors and seem to be doing OK - but I decided to bale out due to old age and needing to do some things for myself. Headed back and discovered that the Ford was boiling up due to losing water - so that will need sorted before I go on any more long trips again with it- appears to be a water pump gasket away.
On the way home saw a bloke with one of these jobs that makes you wonder what they really do - he had one of those measuring wheels -and was just wandering along the side of the road. I have seen a few of them in action - if that is the right word - it is nearly as good as walking about with a clipboard under the arm , or a piece of scaffolding pipe on the shoulder - but there he was out for a walk and getting paid ( I presume).
Probably up and off early again - but will need to wait and see.
No word from Young Michelle with the result of her driving test - is that a bad sign i wonder ?
