Antwerp a.m. Saturday - Friday p.m. we took ourselves off for a walk, found the supermarket and stocked up with food and drink. The flat is handy for the bus and train station, zoo, parks, opera, cinema, and main shopping areas.
Took a wander in the opposite direction later on but ended up in an Italian restaurant only 150 yards away from the flat - pizzas were great, nice selection and washed down with a couple of beers. We were out of sinc due to the time being an hour ahead of home time, so we were wondering why the bars were quiet but the time was midnight here.
End of the night we headed home having had too much to drink and eat - with the result that I suffered badly with my stomach - so today I will need to behave (a bit).
Today is an other day - and the city is calling - there is an open market not far away so that willbe the first stop, and hopefully the rain will stay away..
