Antwerp - not by the sea

Made it to Heathrow, quick check in with BMI and then through to the duty free areas where 1st stop was for coffee and a beer, sadly the service was poor and the beer was flat - but upwards and onwards to the smelly area where we all managed to get sprayed and oiled. But we met young Kallie on the drinks stand where we were introduced firstly to a Pimms with fruit , nice and light but for me a bit bland - however she had Baileys mint with vodka and ice - just superb , and I have never thought of putting a vodka into a Baileys - I always use whiskey to take the sweetness away.

Flight was quick - only 50 minutes and then we were met by Paul's driver, Bart at the airport - he was really good, nice big Mercedes taxi and he just flew up the autoroute to Antwerp and with a few quick detours through rat runs he had us at our apartment.
NOW , this is something different, 8th floor, centre of the City, with magnificent views of the Antwerp, and handy for the shops and main area. The flat is beautiful and we are just sorry we never took up the offer to visit previously, however , a phrase I used recently "I'll be back" . I must compliment Paul and Donna - they had the fridge full for us - wine all ready, and this computer set up for me to communicate with the world !!! Unfortunately - the wine has already been absorbed into several systems !! and replenishments will be needed soon.
Despite what we saw on the net prior to leaving - the weather is fine - warm , mild and so far no rain.
Time to hit the town.
