Fed and watered

Headed out just a bit hungry and having been advised by Paul of a non tourist area to go to we took off to walk it , not realising that it would take about 40 minutes to get there, however we eventually found the area - next to the Royal Art gallery. The the fun began as we could not decide which restaurant to go to - we ended up walking right round the block and nearly to the beginning again then we stopped at Des Artistes - menu was all in Belguim so we ended up having to get help and believe it or not - three fish and chips and a steak and chips arrived on the table. BUT - the meal was lovely , even if a bit on the expensive side - it is not every day you pay Fifteen pound for fish and chips - it was nearly as good as The Mercat, and the steak was a very nice thick fillet, done rare with a nice bit of mustard.
We had to eat outside as the place was full, but all the outside tables were full as well. Plenty of posers on the go, one chap on his Harley Davidson complete with blonde passenger - was in and out of two or three bars, jumping on and off the bike at each one.
Having walked so far we ended up having our first tram ride to get home, and the tram took us to within 200 yards of the flat !! Ideal - so now we are back with feet up and a glass of wine
