Headed off to town, and once again via the plumber's merchants at Loanhead. At this rate we will have more bits than they do.
Dropped Mrs. B. off on Princes Street, the town not being as busy as usual with this being the start of the Edinburgh Trades Holidays, however our beloved friends who enjoy digging up the road have the place gridlocked once again, even with the lighter traffic.
Back to the pub where four of the girls were having a training day - which must have been fun as there was an impromptu wine tasting taking place - OK for them but some of us had work to do.
Met Lawrence, one of our regulars who was chatting away in French to his Polish friend - yes - they enjoy the practice, and with the new Spanish girl behind the bar the place was a wee bit multilingual - French, Polish, Spanish, Scottish, - and I had just been talking to two German visitors outside, and to Jani the Italian next door.
Tried my best to get all the bits of plastic pipe to fit together but with three different sizes it was posing a problem. So being away for the next few days to London and Antwerp it has been left for Captain Calamity to sort out. I then went up and into the kitchen where poor Struan was about demented with Claire and myself as we moved fridges and freezers around and adjusted the layout of the kitchen yet again.
I eventaully gave up and headed home to potter in the garden , and whilst doing so spotted loads of the honey bees busy at work, and - also saw that they appear to have found a corner in the garage to make a hive - hence the picture of the bee crawling along the pipe heading for home.
Early night tonight as I am off once again at 5 a.m. " south of the border" etc. Long day , long run.
