Two buzzy bees

I bet the header had you guessing !! so - up once again with the larks and out into the garden at 7.a.m. to get on with some wee jobs before I had to go and do some proper work, things I had planned on doing last night but did not due to the tennis. It was a nice morning , bit overcast but mild and comfortable to work in, just a pity we could not be having some of the sun they are getting down south.
About 9.30 a.m. left do do my thing , looking at some security improvements for a client , and while waiting on a contractor had a seat in one of the gardens and that's where I spotted some very busy bees at work. There has been a lot of publicity recently about how the bee population is being ravaged by pesticides and the knock on effect it will have on fruit farms and any plants which depend on the bees for cross pollination. Considering it was the little Canon Ixus 70 pocket camera I was using the photo has come out OK .
Finished the job and returned home to pick up Mrs. B. and off we headed to Ikea: Sainsbury's; Tesco; and Bookers Cash and Carry to buy and look for stuff for the pub ( and a little something for a new baby, big Dennis Morrison @ Buzz is now a daddy). Having reached The Mercat Bar to drop off our purchases we decided to park up and have our dinner - which was hard for me because I really wanted "that steak", but decided to try something different so it was giant prawns with a lovely dip, followed by liver and bacon - just perfect.
Heading back to the car we saw that the Voodoo Bar was open so popped in for a quick chat with Alex, the owner, and also met Kevin Price the tarot card man.
Saw that they were cleaning out the furniture from the sauna next door to the Voodoo - seemed to be an awful lot of matresses getting carried out now that it is closed!!!
Only managed to watch Venus Williams at the tennis today , saving myself for another session of Andy Murray tomorrow.
