Esk 42's new Hon . Member

With Mark, headed down to Dalkeith to the regular meeting of Esk 42 RA.
There was a good turn out with a small deputation from Colinton and Currie RA No. 431 who were over to see one of theire past M.E.Z.'s Bill Annand receive Honorary Mambership at the hands of John Wright, MEZ, Esk 42.
It was a very nice and dignified ceremony and Bill, who is also the Provincial Scribe E, was over the moon. he was pleased to pose for these photos and you may see the reason why he occasional;ly suffers from ringing in the ears !!!
Also present was Malcolm Turner the Immediate Past Grand Superintendent of Renfrewshire, accompanied as usual by his "bodyguard " Duncan Gemmell. Malcolm was found deep in social conversation with Alexander foster Mooney, Provincial Grand Superintendent Elect of the Provice of Mid and East Lothian. As is normal in masonic circles they share many common bonds, (in this case it is whisky !!!) - but both are dedicated masons with vast experience, known throughout the length and breadth of the Country.
Freemasons are renowned for their charity, and her is the perfect example, a Welsh , "gent of the road" found loitering , was brought in for some food and refreshment !!
Actually it is Bert Waite, Scribe E of Laird O'Cockpen 500.
