Auld year oot - new yin in

Well, the 39th was hellish cold, never got up above freezing at all, minus 7 when I left in the morning an dstill zero when I got home - Today itwas a lot milder, !!!! around zero when i left and about plus 3 when I gopt back. And no wind - it is not bad, although we are supposed to get kind of chilly later for the bells.

Was in town for an open this morning and we were busy, lots of repeat visitors from yesterday , the boys from Oz were back in again looking for their "roo steaks" - and both engaged to koala bears !! - strange chappies.

1st Couple in were also from Oz, by way of Dublin again , and then off to Londfoan and paris, just like some of yesterdays.

On with David @ Random , and Claire, had a wee chat about her grandad who passed away last week, he was an active freemason and a member of Newbattle St Mary's, and will be sadly missed.
Our young trainee chef, Lauren, also lost her granda this week, and his funeral took place yesterday.

Got a nice card from the Eden Hotel in Sri Lanka, thanks to Tilak and Srimithy, hopefully the problems in the region will settle and tourists will return to the hotel.

Now getting all set for this evening - need a wee rest to recharge the batteries.
