Fun and games expected

Well , I waited of as long as I could but eventually had to get out and clear the car from under its coat of snow - then took it fore a run - however, having taken all the trouble to clear the car I get very annoyed at all these lazy idiots who drive about with their cars piled high with snow, having cleared a small hole to peek through . There must be something lacking with them - I think that many want to get into town and show off to their work mates, friends how much snow they managed to bring with them .

But more to the point , having set off I was only a mile or so down the road when i ran into stationary traffic ( at 12.30 ) still being affected by the mornings problem which truned out to be a burst water main on the A702 - so now , 4.45 p.m. , I hear on the radio that the main road will be closed again tonight - so god help the motorists in the morning again , as we are forecast -7c tonight and more snow on Thursday.

Made it to The Bush where Alan told me it took him three and a half hours to get to work this morning - doubless there will be many similar tales. Next stop Costco where I bumped into one of my former colleagues, Ben Kelly. He was saying that he may well be getting a medical discharge following a deterioration of his health over the past three years - this is not helped by the fact that he was quite happy on light duties, went off again and had a visit from HR who suggested that he should take time off as he was "surplus to requirements"!!! Sounds very like the HR dept in the Social Work, however we are staill waiting for a visit after 42 months !!! . So Ben could very shortly be out of work, which is very disappointing when he could potentially work for at least another ten years - and we hear today that they are needing another 1000 Policemen . Again a bit of a parallel with the Social Work Department, but who would rather suspend on the word of liars for trivia and then let innocents die.

I hear that Peter Tobin , murdering scumbag , has been found guilty for the murder of Vikky Hamilton 17 years ago - may he rot in hell. I was involved in some of the physical searching of roads, hedges , etc, all those years ago when she went missing.

Stopped in at the opticians at Costco, discovered that am not going blind - glasses were dirty!! and need replacing.

Nice to hear from Archie and Tracy this morning , making a wee point that there was no snow in Dalgetty Bay.

So once I get organised, Sparky Mark and I are going to head down to Bonnyrigg for a night out with the blues, No 720 Dalhousie Bonnyrigg.
