Visitors in the City

Sunday and things are picking up in the City of Edinburgh as visitors are arriving for the Hogmanay party.
We had some really nice folks through the door today, looking not only for food and drink, but also pleased to get some ideas of where to go and things to do around the town.
We had folks from England, Ireland, USA, Russia etc, plus our own locals, in for the football. My goodness Liverpool did well with a 5 -1 win and Arsenal had a good run.
Our locals Steve and Lesley were happy enough to pose, and the group with John Lane (USA) , Eugenie Guskov ( Russia- about 200 miles from Moscow) and Susan McG-Laine ( Pittsburgh and Edinburgh) enjoyed their Sunday roast and she had to get a doggie bag to take her Apple crumble home.
Our two young staff were out in the cold dishing out leaflets to passers by, dressed in the new Orange coloured waterproof tops, they looked like members of the Harri Krishna sect !!! but they did get results.
Eventually made it home by 5 p.m., car looking more like a bucket motor with the final load of rubbish from the pub , destined for the skip in the morning.
Now sitting watching a documentary about Marilyn Munro, what a waste of a life, she was some character - but you can see our present day actors / actresses suffering from the same stresses and abuses.
