Headed off to the cash and carry for supplies an then delivered them to the Mercat, where the blokes were in from the Tramworks who will be doing the fetching and carrying when the work starts outside - this is to get supplies in as there will be no access for deliveries.

Jamie has, good to see him back in the fold again - he had a great time in Spain and Edu's folks really looked after him.

Turns out there was a leak where the main gas pipe came into the building - but it has now been fixed - and all hands are hard at work getting things up to speed again.

I spoke to one businessman today who was saying that his company are making a profit all over the UK , except Edinburgh - and the reason being that so many of his customers are being badly affected by the Tramworks. Yet, according to the news sheet which the Edinburgh City Council has put out, the work has progressed without too much disruption and all will benefit !! Today we saw an ambulance totally stuck in the traffic, with blue lights, sirens , etc all on - so God help the poor soul who was waiting for assistance.
Popped into John Lewis at the King James Centre, where the electrical department was queued out with folks buying - in the "smellie dept" there were pallets full of gift boxes all waiting to be snapped up. One of the assistants was saying that we should put perfume on the top of our head ???? rather than on bits of our body which get covered with clothing.

The traffic in town was hellish, but we headed out and went to see Ann's friend Carol, who has not been well - so while they chatted and caught up I had a read at the papers and a glass of wine.
I see that in the USA there are plans to tax farmers who keep flatulent beasts - because they produce methane gas which affects the ozone layer.
Home, where the gremlin ridden upstairs PC is once again playing up - it worked this morning - but tonight no such luck, no monitor , nowt - and no reason why!!!

Have spoken to Sandra and "her wee Willie" in London tonight, both doing well, extension nearly finished, just finishing touches inside. Getting ready for x-mas with Donna and the kids. I hear that Sandra has taken to drinking wine through a straw to save staining her teeth - I am sure the grandchildren will be impressed by the antics of their eccentric Granny

Chick even managed to get a write up in Edinburgh Evening news today regarding the stabbing incident at Tranent, seems that although he felt a blow in his side at the time he did not realise he had been stabbed and was bleeding till he got home and into bed - doubtless ever so slightly under the weather !!

Was thinking of the other Cameron today, through in Renfrew, when I found some photos of Maureen and Craig's wedding in Barbados, same trip as Archie and Tracy - bit of a coincidence - two babies, one called Camryn , the other Cameron.

Saturday - possibly got a meeting of the KT's at Newbattle at 2 p.m. then at 4.30 p.m. must be at Bonnyrigg for the re-installation of Alex McBeth into the chair of 720 again - and I need to be there to present the RA Friendship Jewel to him. Taking Sparky and Grant @ Photogenix with me , it will be his x-mas night out - so the system will take a bit of a hammering I suspect.
